This game was very interesting. The story was very in-depth and the voice over was great! It is a quick game, but pay attention to what is happening and why it's happening if you want to figure out the story. I'm looking forward to his next releases!
Wow. This was simple looking until the flash and then all hell breaks loose. Even a story to it when you get to the end. Trying to catch up on games atm and you seem to made a ton in the past few months. This one is great... :)
Thanks for playing, Kev! By the way, I need to send you the updated version of NEMESES. I finally got around to adding some gamma control. There's a major update in the works, but if you'd like to play the same one you already played but so you can actually see what you're doing, let me know!
Yes of course I'd love to play it again. Never really had the time last time which I apologize for. Gonna be busy again come the 2nd half of June but hopefully not to much so lets get into Nemeses. Just finished playing Two Lines and will tell you what I thought the story was in that games thread. It's not what you had it down as but i'll be honest as always and look an idiot. lol ... :)
At first I was what is going on here? I think I understood the message at the end. Again amazing work. Looking forward to nemesis. Your game is the first in the video!
Awesome work as usual Mr. Reeves! I managed to find a spot to get stuck in the graphics which is totally fine! Not sure if I drew the right conclusions or not but I thoroughly enjoyed Look For Me!
Thanks Mr. Red! I always watch patiently for your playthroughs of my games. Yes, several people have gotten stuck there, and I unfortunately can't fix that until uploads are unlocked (we're in the voting period). Every time I watch someone go up there, my heart stops when they near the corner, because anyone adventurous is going to fall down there. Anyway, there's a lot to dig up for the story, so please go check out PEK PLAYS' video of it, because he basically nailed the story first try. Thanks again, I look forward to more of your playthroughs!
Hey there! Good to see your name again, it's been a while. Glad you enjoyed it. Be sure to check out PEK PLAYS' playthrough if you wanted to know what was happening in the story! Thanks a bunch for playing, and be sure to watch out for more!
One of the most powerful and emotional experiences you can have for a ten minute game. Incredible considering it was a week's worth of effort. I look forward to Nemeses and anything else you work on!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you had the experience I had hoped for. Even though the game is short and weird, I hoped that it would still be able to deliver a story in such a way that could actually make you feel something. Thanks for sharing your reaction. I assure you that much deeper and darker things are coming. Thanks again, friend!
Another lovely creation especially for a weeks work! Always look forward to your games even though you have a talent for making extremely creepy and horrifying stuff! :P
Another awesome horror game by Matt Reeves! You guys should try it for yourself, see if you get stuck in the same spot as me! Looking forward to updates!
Thank you! Love your videos, man. Yeah, several people have had issues trying to run this game; this is one of the struggles of having a beefy GPU and making a jam game without time for optimization. It's always a gamble! Anyway, I've got more games on the horizon, and hopefully some longer ones that you can actually put some time into. Anyway, thanks again. I look forward to your next video!
Start up the game and press the "~" button, then type "SCALABILITY 2" and hit "enter". That should lower the quality down. If that's not enough, you can try doing the same thing but changing the number to 1 or 0. Let me know if that works!
Time! to Save these Peeps from the EVIL ONES that have cursed them! Lets talk about FREEDOM! loved the game! special made by one person this pretty cool! do you have plans after the event is over to update the game or is it a shot?
Hey there! Thank you for playing. You actually didn't beat it, so there's a whole ending you missed! If you're willing to give it a second playthrough, watch for the road split at the last village. Sorry you got stuck! I put a note about that in the description. Hopefully you get the full experience. Thanks again!
Weird might actually be my middle name. You never know.
Thanks for playing man! I always enjoy your videos. As far as the story, there were some important details I don't think you noticed that would have completely changed your interpretation. The most specific one being his outfit at the end. Check out PEK's playthrough below, because he pretty much nailed it! Hope that gives you a better idea. Thanks again!
SO BEAUTIFUL WITH BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! I broke the game 3 times but sooo worth it! Could this be a prequal to two lines? i think thatd be dope! anywho great job again
Check out PEK's playthrough below. He just about nailed the story, which unfortunately isn't compatible with Two Lines. They both have their own standalone stories. Cool idea though! Thanks for posting!
That's awesome! Thank you! Yes indeed, NEMESES is intended to be a full length, AAA quality game, with respect to my capabilities. Expect something much bigger, better, darker, and immersive... er. I don't have an official release date for the demo, but you can follow along on Instagram if you're interested @NEMESEShorror
Thanks for playing! I'm sorry about the hardware restrictions, I really didn't have time to optimize it. In the meantime, if you'd like to play an earlier demo of NEMESES, send me an email at mattreevesproduction@gmail.com and I'll hook you up. It's pretty graphics-heavy, so hopefully it'll run in your rig.
Hey, thanks a ton for playing! Glad you saw my post. I have another one that's much scarier, if you're interested.
As far as story, you figured out the main points, so great job on that. I was worried this game would be too cryptic.
Great feedback, too. It's funny, I realized I had an hour left before the deadline when I was blocking off areas you're not supposed to explore, so I had to leave it where it was so I could get everything submitted. As a last ditch effort, I tried to block off the area you fell down, but I did it in a rush, and missed that tiny little corner. The problem of course is the fact that uploads are disabled until the end of the voting period, so I just have to live with it for the remainder of that period before I can fix it. And same thing with taking visual damage; I had intended to add that, but ran out of time. I really liked your idea about telling the story throughout, but I would have to rework the ending, and at this point I think I'll leave it, especially since most of the game's exposure will happen while I can't change anything.
Anyway, thanks again for playing! I hope to watch you play more of my games!
Thank you! This was a really fun one for me. I always look forward to seeing what kind of crazy stuff I'll pull out of my brain in a week. And I would say I'm most proud of the music. Definitely some of the best music I've ever written. I've discovered a new way to write that has completely changed my approach to it, especially when I have to crank something out in a short period of time. Works like a charm.
If you're wondering how I do it all, it has a lot to do with the fact that I've been developing games since I was about 11, and I'm 30 now. So I've been making games for most of my life. It's been my dream for as long as I can remember, and I'm just finally stepping into a serious pursuit of it. Thanks for the hype. I really appreciate the people who really appreciate what I do. And I know you do. Can't wait to watch your video.
This looked promising! Unfortunately, it doesn't run well on my system and there weren't any settings I could launch to adjust, but what I got into looked lovely. Hopefully others with a better PC will come along and give it a shot, haha!
Well thanks for trying anyway! Since I'm a one man team, there are certain features that I am just not able to squeeze into jam games. At least not the initial release. When I've got time, I'll try and come back to this and add a quality feature so you can play!
So apparently you can adjust the quality with a console command. It's really easy. Just start up the game and press the "~" button, then type "SCALABILITY 2" and hit "enter". That should lower the quality down. If that's not enough, you can try doing the same thing but changing the number to 1 or 0. Hopefully you can play it now! Let me know whether or not that works.
Hey, just wanted to let you know I tried it and it did work to lower the quality, making the game more playable for me! It also made it look pretty bad, so I didn't record it BUT I did play it and I enjoyed it! Nice twist at the end, really like your work!

Игра понравилась, даже чутка испугала :)

Very cool game. Even with your warning I still walked too far off the path and got stuck :)
But I tried again and made it to the end. Very interesting game. Not sure I fully understand what was going on but I enjoyed it anyways.
I played this a couple of weeks ago but I found it to be a pretty great game and found a bug :)
Thanks for posting, Sammy!

32:38. Amazing atmospheric game yet again by good old Matt Reeves.
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it :)
A great little surreal horror adventure through a magical forest village. Until someone decides to turn out the lights & send the village crazy.
Matt, I love your mind, & your story telling. Surrealism at it's finest. Can't wait for nemesis!
At first I was what is going on here? I think I understood the message at the end. Again amazing work. Looking forward to nemesis. Your game is the first in the video!

Thanks for playing! Hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for bigger projects coming soon!
Your games have been pretty damn good man
This hit me right in the heartfeels. Another awesome game dude. Was a little frame-droppy, but nothing a little config.txt editing can’t fix!

Thanks! Yeah, I figured it was because of the time crunch. No big deal. :D
is there a way to change the graphics settings

Yeah that worked. Thank you!
the baba yaga is scary
I can't wait for it to be done. It's a little wonky now but good.
Just a bit lagy
Your games keep getting better and better! These guys were just odd and creepy and just gave me chills!

Well that was unexpected. Cool idea for a story.
Once again...a weird game, but fun as usual!

This is an interesting game for sure. Might wanna block off that one area so others don't fall into it.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
